Inexplicable Synaesthetic Fruit no. 3

Synaesthetic Fruit 3: 2020
First in series of large-scale watercolors attempting to communicate fruit flavors and textures I experience when hearing or reading certain words. There are some flavors I've never experienced outside of my head, so the goal was to put them out into the world. This "fruit" doesn't seem to have any easy real-world comparisons, strangely, though it's not particularly acidic, and the flavor is subtle, sweet. Its flesh is closer to melon than, say, stone fruit, with a wavy consistency and a vapor element that's released when bitten.
